Back on the mat

After a two-week hiatus due to a pulled muscle I got back on the mat yesterday evening for a slow flow vinyasa class. The affected muscle protested a bit but there was no pain and I was able to do every asana. It’s good to be doing a full practice again.

I’ll miss Saturday’s intermediate class because I have another activity planned but I expect to be in Sunday’s slow flow class. I’m looking forward to Jessica’s hot yoga class on Monday to find out what she has brought back from her teacher training last month.

  • Today’s slow flow class went well, almost too well. I get the feeling that I’m not going to my edge or getting as close to it as I could. I’m still mindful of the pulled muscle and the excruciating pain it caused. I’ll see how Jessica’s hot yoga class goes.

  • Today’s slow flow class seemed like it was the best so far since getting back on the mat. Melissa’s hot yoga class last Wednesday felt pretty good too. I don’t know why I’ve been skipping Yoga Conditioning, Intermediate Yoga and Jessica’s hot yoga classes. I can’t think of any reason not to be there on Monday and Tuesday.
