Twitter: Great class today. Even core work wasn’t too bad. Warrior poses still getting protests. I’m very tired, thirsty and hungry now. Lunch!
It was a pretty good class. The core/abdominal work was challenging but not nearly as much as this past Thursday. My lower quads were still tightening [...]
Twitter: Good yoga class. Some areas resist the natural yogic state a lot more than others. Some of that may be mental blocks I need to let go of.
As usual, core work kicked my ass although it’s my legs that hurt, not my abs. That could be because my core isn’t strong enough [...]
The yoga class was challenging but good. At the end of it I was sweaty and tired but very refreshed. I attempted a headstand against the wall with only the blanket for cushioning but it slid out from under me and I slid down the wall. The mat also prevents such slides. The woman [...]
I had a pretty good yoga class. As usual, core work, Warrior poses, and balancing gave me the most difficulty. Locust Pose also gave me trouble, I just couldn’t get my arms up. Wheel Pose wasn’t happening either. But on a positive note, I did a pretty nice headstand. My heels touched the wall [...]
The hot yoga class was good, a great workout. The lower quads protested and resisted the natural state as they usually do. Using blocks in Urdhva Dhanurasana (Wheel Pose) really helped.
It was an intermediate class tonight and, as usual, it was quite challenging, especially the core portion. The Warrior/Triangle sequence wasn’t too bad this evening. Vasisthasana (Side Plank Pose) was challenging and Parsva Bakasana (Side Crane Pose) was still unattainable.
On the plus side, I did another near perfect Salamba Sarvangasana (Supported Shoulderstand). Melissa [...]
I had a great hot yoga class. It seems like just about everything flowed although I had some trouble with balance but that’s normal. It wasn’t as bad this evening. The practice was culminated by a near perfect shoulder stand. Melissa commented on how good it was. I felt good about it. My legs [...]
This morning’s yoga class was good. The core work still kicks my ass and Warrior poses make the muscles around my knees scream in agony. When you’re at your edge, some discomfort is expected but what I feel is past discomfort.
Savasana was one of the best I’ve ever experienced. Climb was playing in [...]
Attended the first Hot Yoga class at Sri Yoga. It’s not Bikram Yoga, more like very warm Vinyasa. I plan to continue. Should I do two classes on Wednesday nights?
Apparently, there are strict requirements for it to be Bikram Yoga such as temperature, humidity, special flooring and other stuff.
Head stand question. I did a head stand supported by the wall. I felt pressure on my head and neck, which didn’t seem correct. Shouldn’t my arms be bearing most of the weight? Should be balanced on forearms.
Plow Pose. On Namaste Yoga — roll over from a seated position, then place your hands [...]
